Chicago Architecture Center

The Chicago Architecture Center, host of Open House Chicago, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring people to discover why design matters. Family friendly Halloween activities will be available on October 15th.

Bright and inviting, Boxville is the city’s first shipping container-based retail center and food market. This open-air marketplace is full of art, music, food and a variety of entrepreneurial businesses.

Austin Community Family Center (ACFC)

A former YMCA, the Austin Community Family Center is geared toward youth and young adults, offering specialized programming, fitness facilities, basketball gyms and more.

Working Bikes

Jam-packed with unusual and rare bikes, Working Bikes is both a museum and a non-profit dedicated to refurbishing bikes and reselling them affordably to local users. See a few pedal-powered contraptions when there!

Tree House Humane Society

7225 N. Western Ave.

Tree House is specially designed for cats, the people who love cats and the environment. The whole building is eco-friendly with energy efficient floor heating and extensive sky lighting. Visitors can mingle with adoptable cats in the city’s first in-shelter cat café and view a working outdoor feral cat colony.
