Open House Chicago is back with a reimagined event for 2020. The beloved architecture festival, hosted by the Chicago Architecture Center, will now span 17 days and more than 20 of Chicago’s unique neighborhoods. This year’s event includes both online and outdoor events that showcase the fascinating history, architecture, and culture of the city’s diverse neighborhoods.

The CAC is committed to providing an OHC 2020 experience that limits the transmission of COVID-19 (coronavirus). All OHC 2020 activities will be offered online or outdoors in support of recommendations from public health officials for the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago; further guidance will be provided as our OHC 2020 dates approach. Unless and until otherwise noted, OHC 2020 will not include access to or tours of any building interiors or convene any groups; and all OHC 2020 attendees will be encouraged to wear face coverings at all times, and maintain six feet of social distance at a minimum while exploring any neighborhoods, except from others with whom they have already isolated.
