Working Bikes is a nonprofit that refurbishes discarded and donated bikes, then sells them affordably to local users or ships them to other countries where cheap bikes are needed. It is housed in an early 1900s former borax factory. The upper and lower floors are a veritable museum of bicycles, jam-packed with thousands of vintage bikes of unusual sizes, makes or models. There are even a few pedal-powered contraptions that do things like pump water or play records.
