Working Bikes is a nonprofit that refurbishes discarded and donated bikes, then sells them affordably to local users or ships them to other countries where cheap bikes are needed. It is housed in a former borax factory. The upper and lower floors are a veritable museum of bicycles, jam-packed with bikes of unusual sizes, makes, or models. There are even a few pedal-powered contraptions that do things like pump water or play records.
Volunteer docents will offer regular tours of the spaces not normally accessible to the public in small groups. Visitors must wear masks at all times and maintain social distancing.
