Wild Blossom Meadery was the first meadery in Illinois and the first winery and meadery in Chicago. Wild Blossom redeveloped a 1950s construction company building into an inviting production facility and tasting room in 2017. Instead of growing grapes, they raise honeybees and instead of vineyards, they have wildflower fields. Wild Blossom transformed this former industrial area into gardens and green space. Mead is the most sustainable wine on Earth and its production supports the honeybees that are absolutely vital to our food supply.
Guided tour of our mead production and honeybee hives will be offered every 20-30 minutes.
