This large Tudor-Revival apartment building is named for its gabled slate roof. Its design evokes the forms of an old English village. The apartments are among a group of several striking buildings that face Indian Boundary Park. A courtyard opens up on the naturalistic landscape of the park. Hidden inside the building is a beautiful historic swimming pool—an unusual amenity for an apartment building of this era. However, the pool is not unlike others found in nearby buildings, including one in the Park Castle Condominiums.
