Description

Established in 2004 under auspices of the Cambodian Association of Illinois (CAI), the National Cambodian Heritage Museum & Killing Fields Memorial (NCHM) remains the only institution of its kind in the U.S.. It dedicates its programming to the Cambodian genocide awareness; advocacy for survivors and their families through story, memory, and history; healing arts; and youth leadership in peace building. NCHM's mission is to build community through shared healing through art, language, memory, and histories.

Visitor Experience

The museum and memorial will be open to the public with staff providing guided tours to visitors. Visitors are also welcome to do a self-guided tour. There will be a hands-on activity for young visitors and families, and a schedule of performances.
