With its terra cotta eagle facing the Illinois Centennial Monument across the square, and a cluster of great restaurants and shops below, the Logan Square Auditorium is a community anchor and premier venue for live music. Versatility was the original intent; it’s a throwback multi-use ballroom equally suited to rock shows and weddings. Steep and narrow stairs lead up to the cavernous and elegant ballroom, which is seemingly unchanged from a century ago--but for the sound system, the bar and the bookings.
Climb up to the top-floor auditorium, and its balcony, in this historic building, usually only open for concerts and special events.
