DIRTT’s penthouse showroom overlooks the Chicago River from the top of the Chase & Sanborn Coffee Company Warehouse building. The DIRTT space was designed in 1985 as the boardroom and executive offices of Helene Curtis Industries. The building is one of just two former warehouse buildings still standing on the main branch of the Chicago River. The penthouse, now home to the Green Learning Center, is a place where DIRTT ("Doing It Right This Time") shares solutions for sustainable interior construction and ideas about how to build better.
