Description

The Climate Action Museum is Chicago's newest museum and only the eighth climate museum in the world. This no-drama exhibit focuses on the actions each of us can take to reduce our contributions to global warming. Everything from where we live and work, how we get around, the buildings we occupy, the clothes we wear, the appliances we use and the food we eat. An absolute highlight is "Chicago Architecture through the Climate Lens" featuring three full-scale mockup walls of landmark buildings from the 19th, 20th, and 21st Centuries. A visit to CAM will change how you see the world and increase your understanding of the enormous impact we can have if we each Do Our Part!

Visitor Experience

CAM will be offering docent-led orientations throughout the day. Subject Matter Experts will be stationed throughout the exhibit to answer questions. See if you can answer a 10-question STEM exam on climate-related topics. Finally, visitors can take the two-part CAM Pledge to: 1. Commit to specific climate mitigation actions, and 2. Bring a group of friends back to CAM.
