See where the City of Chicago stores and repairs its largest vehicles, including spare fire trucks and snow plows. This new headquarters for the Department of Fleet and Facility Management (2FM) opened in February 2019 on a 12.5 acre site that was formerly the home of Kennedy-King College. 200 jobs were relocated to Englewood in the move to this energy-efficient, purpose-built new facility. All Chicago Fire Department fire trucks are repaired here, along with snow plows and other heavy-duty equipment used by the Chicago Police Department, the Department of Streets and Sanitation, the Chicago Department of Transportation and the Chicago Park District.
