Founded in 2011 as an artist discovery platform, this new concept music label produces high-quality studio sessions, live-streaming concerts, music videos, interviews, and intimate show documentaries. Audiotree provides these services to a wide variety of independent artists, abandoning the old-fashioned music industry practice of labels working only with a small roster of signed artists. Their popular "Audiotree Live" studio sessions are live-streamed online for free by a large international audience. Many sessions can be downloaded for a small fee on a revenue-sharing plan with the artists. Audiotree also produces the annual Audiotree Music Festival in Michigan and owns two beloved Chicago concert venues, Schubas and Lincoln Hall.
