DETAILS:

The CAC Marquette Hub serves as a satellite CAC location as well as a tour departure point and Design Store. During Open House weekend, the Marquette Hub will have official OHC merchandise by local artist Jazmin Rodriguez, as well as Chicago Reader Festival Guides and staff on hand to answer OHC-related questions. Located off the lobby at street level inside one of Chicago's most significant architectural landmarks, the Marquette Hub provides a natural starting point for visitors taking tours and exploring the city's historic skyscraper district.

VISITOR EXPERIENCE:

The Marquette Hub will be open with opportunities to see the CAC's new satellite location, buy tickets to future CAC walking and building tours, shop at the Design Store, and have any OHC questions answered by staff. Visitors may also explore the lobby-adjacent exhibition “Nwi Yathmomen, We will tell our story,” curated by visual artist Andrea Carlson (Ojibwe) and historian John Low (Pokagon Band of Potawatomi). The exhibition addresses the representation of Native people in the architectural design elements of the building and asserts the presence of Native peoples, and particularly Potawatomi people, in Chicago.
