While it now houses a multitude of performance spaces for independent theatre, this building has worn many hats since it was built by Masons in the 1890s: a Woolworth's department store, offices for Hollywood Video, and a variety of other businesses have come and gone. Since 2010, The Den Theater has been home to several independent theatre companies, making it a vital node in Chicago's theatre scene. Complementing the varied performance spaces are comfortable but eclectic lounges and a welcoming storefront bar and cafe.
Beginning with the Box Office, Cabaret, and Haven Lounge Bar and Cafe, explore three floors of varied theatres and lounges, as well as the adjacent Bookspan Theatre.
