One of only two Community-Supported Breweries (CSBs) in the Chicago area, Sketchbook Brewing Co. expanded in 2016 from a growler grab-and-go operation catering to its 400+ members into a sleek taproom conveniently located opposite the Main Street CTA and Metra stations. Working with architecture firm Valerio DeWalt Train Associates, Sketchbook designed this new space with reclaimed building materials and decorative elements from decommissioned bowling alleys, a local home, and the Evanston Re-Building Warehouse. Neon artist Greg Mowery contributed the conspicuously orange “Tap Room” sign.
