The Portage Lofts Arts Center recently transformed the striking International-Style Straus & Schram furniture store building into a four-story arts incubator in the heart of the Six Corners shopping district. It features 50-foot-wide column-free interiors on all four floors. Today, it's a collaborative neighborhood arts center that's home to Filament Theatre, Art Side Out Studio and Mask Shop and Chicago Ballet Center.
