This dramatically curved, green glass tower sits at the fork of the Chicago River. It houses the corporate headquarters of 116-year-old global asset manager Nuveen Investments. The 36-story building is adapted to fit an unusual triangular site. It is also clad in a reflecting skin that mirrors the water, sky and cityscape. The design incorporates a tripartite composition that hearkens back to the earliest Chicago skyscrapers. The building's prominent location and striking color make it a favorite of many Chicagoans, including Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Chicago’s Perkins and Will set out to create an environment that conveys innovation, energy and integrity for the Nuveen offices.
