On what was previously one of the most violent blocks in Englewood, I Grow Chicago is planting the seeds of change and igniting collective hope and healing. By transforming abandoned homes and vacant lots into community-led resources they are building skills, fostering connection and promoting a safe and thriving community. The ideas for what exists on the Peace Campus came from many forums held by Englewood residents. The plans for the Peace House, Family Resource House and Healing Justice Court were drawn pro-bono by architecture firm Krueck + Sexton.
