Description

The Haitian American Museum of Chicago (HAMOC)'s mission is to promote and preserve Haitian art, culture, history and community in Chicago and beyond. HAMOC is one of two Haitian-specific museums in the United States and the epicenter for Haitian culture in Chicago and throughout the Midwest. In September of 2022, HAMOC moved into a brand new building with over 2,500 sq. ft. of space to showcase its Haitian art and artifact collection. The museum features interactive labels and an oral history touchscreen platform.
