What do OHC Volunteer Greeters do?
Volunteer greeters are stationed at the entrance to all OHC sites and spend time welcoming guests, answering questions and tracking visitor attendance. Greeters typically work one four-hour shift, which leaves plenty of time to explore the city the remainder of the weekend.
Why should I be a Volunteer Greeter?
In addition to meeting visitors from all over the world who share your enthusiasm for the city and its architecture, our generous Volunteer Greeters receive:
- A priority-access pass and admission to members-only sites for you and a companion
- 50% off a CAF membership
- 15% discount at the CAF retail shop
- OHC t-shirt and lanyard souvenirs
- Two free CAF walking tour passes
Volunteer Greeters are required to attend one 40-minute training session. Training sessions will take place in September. Exact times and locations to be announced by email in August.
All of our volunteer roles are currently filled. If you would like to be on the wait list to volunteer, please add your name and information to the wait list here and we will contact you if space becomes available.
