Auburn Gresham Healthy Lifestyle Hub

Anchoring a broad redevelopment effort along once-bustling 79th Street is this gut-renovated 1926 terra cotta building originally home to the Rusnak Bros. Furniture Store and Showroom. New occupant Auburn Gresham Healthy Lifestyle Hub was forged through a community-centered planning process and infused with $10 million from the Pritzker Traubert Foundation. It brings together a health center, pharmacy, bank, and workforce development offices. A new elevator core, washrooms and windows helped create a modern, bright office feel within the old structure. The building is located two blocks from the under-construction Auburn Park Metra Station, critical infrastructure for spurring the corridor's redevelopment.

The Healthy Lifestyle Hub will host a guided tour to include the history of the building and the Auburn Gresham neighborhood.
